Location Information

Anneville-sur-Mer is a village and commune near the west coast of the Cherbourg peninsula, 36 kilometres west of St. Lô.

There are in the churchyard two British war graves ; one about 3 yards south of the south-eastern corner of the church and the other some 6 yards south-south-west of the belfry. The latter is that of an unidentified sailor of the Royal Navy.

Cemeteries and Memorials

Stoker 2nd Class R.C. BODDY, H.M.S. Charybdis, is also buried in Manche Department, Normandy, at St. Germain-sur-Ay.

The three memorials where are commemorated those with no known grave but the sea, whose bodies were never recovered, have also been added on the map.
